When we first heard of Hurricane Sandy my 7 year old began to cry because she thought that it was going to impact her friends in Sandy, UT. We then had to explain to her how storms are named. Speaking of Hurricane Sandy, our thoughts and prayers go out to those who are having to evacuate the east coast. Fortunately, we are more inland and haven't felt much so far. Our school has even closed, canceling our anatomy test for the day...For the most part, it's a good thing, giving us more time to study, but I would almost rather get the test done and over with.
Speaking of Halloween!!!
Here it is Tues. My daughter still is out of school. Though, after our so-called storm, I don't understand why she isn't in school. I understand that most of the eastern coast was hit dramatically hard, but we had a typical rain and wind storm. Thankfully.
Here is Grace and Clara enjoying Sandy Storm!!! (just rain and bit of wind for us)
So, now here we are at school cramming in between classes for our anatomy test. Our professor has broken it up into two different days, the practical is today and the written is tomorrow morning. This gives me time to solidify Gait and the rest of the origin and insertions of the muscles.
During our Physical Diagnosis class we covered the Musculoskeletal examination, no one really paid attention to the process, except the anatomy sections. You could definitely tell what was on everyone's mind.
This post seems to have become a journal posting, maybe I'll continue this blog as such...
I completely forgot to mention that a Neuro. doctor requested a couple of cadaver heads to practice a surgery on. He has a case involving a patient that lacks drainage from his frontal sinuses. I don't remember the details, but the doctor wants to drill a hole into the skull removing any possible way for the frontal sinuses to fill with mucus. Our professor is going to decapitate a couple of the cadavers allowing this doctor to take them to the local hospital to practice on! Can't image the expression the cop gives when he pulls him over and sees to severed heads in his back seat! Happy Halloween!!!
This picture just makes me laugh!!!
One last thing! Our kind friends watched our girls last Saturday while Abby and I went to the Washington DC, LDS Temple. It was so wonderful!!! I love being in spiritual/uplifting environments!
Glad you were not effected. Those are some cute girls in some cute costumes. Sounds like some pretty grusome things you are studying. I'm glad your are willing to study that stuff so you can take care of us when we are sick and old.
