I can't believe we made and we are all alive!
My Mom and I arrived in H'burg on Sunday, got the keys to our new place Monday morning, and expected to pick my wife, kids and in-laws up that night at 8:30 PM. Ya, that didn't happen! Their plane in Georgia, was about 3 hours late! Their lay-over ended up being 7 hours! That's seven hours with 3 kids, trapped in an airport terminal! Need I say more?!
The Charlottesville airport is about an hour away from were we live, causing our arrival to be delayed 'til 1 AM Tuesday morning! Let me continue to add to the dismay! The truck containing our belongings was suppose to be delivered to our place that same Monday at 5 PM. Again, that didn't happen...It arrived Thursday morning just as we were taking our parents back to the airport. (BTW, they didn't pick up their trailer until the next Tuesday! So, this huge diesel trailer sat next to our home for a few days.)
Though, the ever changing schedule off set everything, we still had some help from our ward. A couple of brethren helped us unpack the truck and a family graciously brought us a meal! I find that most people are just trying to be charitable and kind to all and sometimes we just need to let them. I feel the need to slow down and look for where the Lord has offered His hand during each day...The 'Tender Mercies.'
I still need to blog about the rest our travels. Hopefully, now that we have the internet set up I can do that soon.
BTW, not only does Hannah's school start soon, but so does my PA program!!!
