The weight and anticipation that had pressed upon our shoulders for almost 7 months had now been lifted. I had interviewed with James Madison University back in October of 2011...The 'up in the air' feeling...ugh...! It's nice knowing what to plan for.
Anyways, Abby and I now knew that we were going to be moving to Virginia, yet our three daughters needed to know the big change that was about to take place. We sat down for Family Home Evening and began to explain the bitter sweet news. Both Clara and Grace were really too young to comprehend the notion of having to 'up and move' away from friends and family. My sweet little Hannah, on the other hand, she wears her soft-heart on her sleeve. Having lived in Utah for three years, she has made a lot of friends...tears rolled from her eyes easily.
Thank you 'Google' for awesome maps on VA and for 'Things to do in Harrisonburg' (She especially liked the Huge swimming pool in Harrisonburg). After showing Hannah some 'Sweet' things about Virginia, we explained how we will try to do a bunch of activities with her friends before we move.
One of the first things we did with her friends was a Fun Run for her elementary school.
(We got pics of them together, but not included here)
It was absolutely amazing to jog/walk 2 miles with Hannah!
Abby and the other girls walked it and enjoyed the excitement.
The school puts this community out reach Fun Run on every year.
And we love it!
The neighbors even busted out some sprinklers for the kids to run through.

It's is always hard to move - but it's amazing the fun that awaits at the new place. Sometimes I think it is harder on the friends that stay at home and have a big hole to fill.

Kids always jump back fast. You have a great family and will be moving together so it will be a great adventure.

Thank you guys for your words of wisdom and encouragement. The greatest thing about Hannah is that she makes friends wherever she goes. She is just a sweet and careing individual.
